Sweet Crab

Alaska King Crab Legs

I learned to make Crab Legs with a more ingredients than usual when I lived in Alaska

Start with the freshest Alaska King Crab legs (frozen if not available in your area and thaw appropriately). Place them on a Bed of Ice NOT in water.  Cut down the shell of a leg lengthwise break it open to so you expose the meat. 

  • Fill a large pot with 1/2 cup Coconut Milk and continue to fill the rest of the pot with water

  • 2 teaspoons of Sugar

  • 1 Tablespoon of Salt

  • 3 Tablespoons of Old Bay Seasoning (optional)

  • Bring the water to a boil

  • Slowly add the crab legs

  • Boil between 4-5 minutes

Remove the Crab legs drain excess water and sprinkle with your favorite seasoning.

We use clarified butter, make with Kerrygold pure Irish butter, garlic, and a pinch of salt.  Drizzle with a fresh cut lemon
