BBQ Honey & Cognac Wings


  • 1 cup flour

  • 2 T chili powder

  • 1 t kosher salt

  • 1 black pepper, freshly ground

  • 3 T Adobo Seasoning

  • 3 T Mrs. Dash Grilled Chicken Blend

  • 3 T Mrs. Dash Table Blend

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 3 T Garlic powder

  • 2 T of Creole Seasoning

  • 20 chicken wings, or drumettes

  • 2 cups BBQ sauce

  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar

  • ½ cup honey

  • 2 T Liquid Smoke

  • 2 T Worcestershire Sauce

  • 1 T Apple Cider Vinegar

  • 3 T A1

  • 3 T Franks Red Hot - Hot Sauce

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F

  2. Prep a Cookie sheet with Parchment paper and spray with a non-stick cooking spray.

  3. In a bowl, combine flour, and all dry ingredients except the brown sugar. Coat the wings in the flour evenly.

  4. Place the floured wings on the baking sheet in a single layer.

  5. Bake for 50 minutes, turn over halfway, skin will be brown and crispy.

  6. Preheat oven to 500°F (250°C).

  7. In a separate bowl, combine the BBQ sauce, wet ingredients and brown sugar. Stir the cooked wings in the sauce and coat them evenly.

  8. Place wings back on the baking sheet in a single layer.

  9. Bake for approximately 10 minutes, until a nice shiny crust forms and caramelizes

  10. Place the additional Sauce in a bowl and use it to dip the warm wings.
