The holiday bring out some of the best baking. We look forward to those cookies we only get once a year. This year I decided to put a spin on a classic cookie and add a few of my household favorite goodies. Try these and let me know how you enjoyed them.

Ingredients
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2.5 T Instant vanilla pudding mix
1 t baking soda
1 t salt
2 sticks butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 T Vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups dark chocolate chips
1/2 cup Jumbo semi sweet chocolate chips
14 Oreos. Each cookie broken into 4 pieces
1 cup of toasted pecans
Topping for cookies
* 1/2 cup Jumbo chips
* 1/2 cup Pecans
* 5-7 broken Oreos
2 T rock salt - optional
These topping will be added after you scoop them on to the cookie sheet.
Adding the additional goodies gives a beautiful bakery appearance.
Directions
Brown the butter in a saucepan, stirring constantly over medium heat.
The butter will turn a golden brown and dark bits will form at the bottom of the pan.
Remove from heat and cool the butter in fridge or freezer until it is in a solid form.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Grease baking sheets with cooking spray or line with parchment.
Cream together butter, for at least 2 minutes before adding the sugars, eggs, and vanilla mix for another 2-4 minutes.
Gradually add flour, baking soda, and salt. Only mix the dry ingredients in until just barely combined.
Stir in chocolate chips, pecans, and Oreo cookie pieces. Just until combined.
Using an ice cream scooper, scoop out batter and shape into a ball and place on the cookie sheet. Add additional toppings and sprinkle with rock salt or sea salt.
Bake 8-10 minutes until the top and edges are just golden.
Cool cookies on baking sheet before transporting to a cooling rack.
Enjoy!
