Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Cookies

INGREDIENTS
2 sticks unsalted butter, melted and just warm to the touch
¾ cup packed light brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1.5 T vanilla extract
1 t cake batter extract
1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
2 T nonfat milk or Nut milk
1 ¼ t granulated salt
½ t baking powder
¼ t baking soda
1 Cup of Pecans (Optional)
12 ounces dark chocolate chips
1/4 cup flaked salt or Coarse-grained sea salt
DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Mix the sugars together in a large bowl then add the melted butter.
Stir until combined 30 Seconds to a one minute.
Add the egg, milk, cake batter and vanilla extract to the mixture.
Hand mix for 1 minute or combined.
Mix flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda until just combined.
Stir in the chocolate chips and pecans (pecans optional).
Chill dough for 15 - 20 minutes.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray with a non-stick spray.
Once chilled scoop dough out of bowl with an ice cream scooper on a baking sheet.
Sprinkle salt on the top of each cookie before baking.
Bake for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown.
Do not overbake
Let the cookies sit for at least 10-15 seconds before transferring to a cooling rack.
