Sometimes on game day we want to indulge into delicious foods that may contain fried or over fatty foods. This refreshing dip is a nice alternative or addition to your game day meal. (Who says you have to wait until game day)
INGREDIENTS
3 avocados - peeled, pitted, and mashed
1 avocado cut into small pieces - For a chunky texture add this step
1 large lime, juiced
1 t sea salt
1 t cumin
1/2 t garlic powder
2 large tomatoes, chopped (Roma)
½ cup diced red onion
4 T fresh cut cilantro
1 t minced garlic
1 t ground cayenne pepper
1 finely diced jalapeno (Optional)
Add 2 T of Sweet Chili sauce to add a suttle element of sweet and hot (Optional)
DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl add mashed avocados, lime juice, salt, cumin, cayenne, and garlic powder together in a medium bowl.
Slowly add tomatoes, onion, cilantro, and minced garlic and mix well.
(Optional - Add the Sweet Chili sauce)
Fold in cut avocado to add a chunky texture.
Top with pinch of sea salt and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
To keep it from turning brown add fresh lime juice.
