Red Velvet Oreo Cookies

There are times when you would like something sweet and do not have time to make a homemade cookies. This recipe uses a cake mix and the total time to include baking is less than 30 minutes. I hope you give them a try. There will never be a replacement for homemade cookies, but these are fabulous.



Ingredients


1 red Velvet Cake Mix

2 Eggs

1/3 oil

1/2 cornstarch

3 T of Dark unsweetened cocoa

8-12 Oreos

1/4 Cup of White chocolate shavings/Shards or white chocolate chips

1 t Vanilla extract

1 t Cream Cheese Extract


INSTRUCTIONS


Preheat oven to 350


Mix just until combined.


Add 8-12 preassigned, broken in half, then bread the half in half. Yields 4 pieces per cookie. Keep the chunks of cookie big.

To elevate this cookie, chop a 1/3 of a block of White Chocolate into shards.

Incorporate as little or as much as you like, be sure to save at least 1/4 of the shards.

Add to dough and slowly combine.


Scoop using an Ice Cream Scooper

Roll between hands

Using the palm of your hands make a ball

Set on the cookie tray

Press in the center of the cookies and make a well.

Using the surplus shards of chocolate, place a pinch inside the well of the cookie.

Using additional @oreos, place a few pieces on the surface before baking.


Protip: Use a pinch of Sea Salt to enhance the sweetness of the cookie before baking.


Bake for 8 - 10 minutes,

Cool and serve warm
